Hello and Happy Sunday, dear Readers!
I wanted to let you all know about something super exciting for my little blog.
Recently, my friend Vanessa Raquel, a charismatic, intelligent and compassionate 20-something, started her own YouTube channel and asked if I would be interested in having this blog featured on it. I, of course, jumped at the opportunity to be involved in Vanessa’s online journey, as she has a remarkable life story and her experiences and opinions are sure to inspire and help many people.

If you don’t want to take my word for it, here’s Vanessa’s description of herself, in her own words:
“Vanessa Raquel is 26, queer, and a Sri Lankan Italian Canadian. At 21, she founded the national not-for-profit called EngiQueers Canada (www.engiqueers.ca) and now that she’s settled into full time ~adulthood~, she’s looking for the next adventure. You can expect a vlog from this channel – full of stories, advice and just going through the waves of life! Vanessa hopes to foster a culture of compassion, community, and giving back to those less fortunate in her viewers.”
That definitely sounds like a channel that would be of interest to some of you dear Readers of mine, and I was honoured for Vanessa to feature me in her recent video on growing up. Naturally, that is a topic I am quite passionate about, particularly now that I’ve made the transition to becoming a mother and will be responsible for helping someone else grow up, and Vanessa’s perspectives in this video really resonated with me.
If you’d like to give the video a watch, you can do so at the link below. And please also check out Vanessa Raquel’s page because her videos are each fascinating and informative, and watching them is time very well spent!
